Rescue Teams Pull 52 Survivors, Recover Bodies Following Myanmar Condo Collapse

(MENAFN) As of Tuesday, a total of 52 individuals have been pulled from the rubble and 103 bodies have been found at the collapsed Sky Villa condominium in Myanmar’s Mandalay region, according to a report published on Wednesday.

The report stated that the building came down following a powerful earthquake that hit the area on March 28.

Since the day of the disaster, rescue and debris removal efforts at the Sky Villa site have been ongoing, involving teams from the Myanmar Rescue Team, Mandalay Region Fire Services Department, and officials from the Mandalay Region government.

Nationwide, the earthquake has claimed 3,759 lives, left 5,107 injured, and 114 people remain unaccounted for as of Tuesday, a local media outlet reported.
