White House Claims Pentagon is Against Secretary of Defense

(MENAFN) The Pentagon is reportedly in conflict with its own leader, Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth, as revealed by White House spokesperson Karoline Leavitt.

In a Monday interview, Leavitt expressed United States Leader Donald Trump’s complete confidence in Hegseth’s ability to lead.

Leavitt explained, “This is what happens when the entire Pentagon is working against you and working against the monumental change that you are trying to implement.”

She accused Hegseth’s critics within the Pentagon of resenting his dedication to “standing up for the war-fighter” and claimed that they are using tactics such as “leaking and… lying to the mainstream media” to undermine his efforts.

Following an article published the previous Sunday, which alleged that Hegseth shared classified details about operations in Yemen with his wife and brother—both of whom lacked the necessary security clearance—President Trump’s administration has taken steps to defend Hegseth.
