Members from over 150 nations attend Moscow security conference
The conference will focus on strengthening global cooperation in protecting critical technologies and information infrastructure. Key topics include the creation of a new, fair, and inclusive international security framework that reflects current global realities.
High-level discussions will address countering terrorism, technological sabotage, and cybercrime. A special roundtable will bring together national security advisers, intelligence chiefs, and cybersecurity experts to tackle urgent challenges in the information space through multilateral cooperation.
The Russian Security Council noted that invitations have been extended to countries in the Global South and East, as well as members of international blocs such as the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS), the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO), the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU), the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO), and over 20 other global organizations.
Forum chair Sergey Shoigu, head of the Russian Security Council, highlighted the evolving geopolitical and economic landscape, stating that the resulting challenges and opportunities require a cooperative response. He emphasized that global threats today transcend borders and cannot be addressed by any single nation acting alone.
