Tragic Road Collision in India Claims Nine Lives
(MENAFN) In a tragic early morning accident in central India, at least nine people—including three women—lost their lives, while two others sustained injuries, police confirmed Wednesday. Among the injured are a woman and a child.
The incident took place in Jhabua district of Madhya Pradesh around 3:00 a.m., when a truck loaded with cement bags collided with a van carrying the victims, causing the van to become trapped beneath the heavy vehicle.
Authorities reported that the victims were returning from a wedding celebration at a relative’s home when the fatal collision occurred.
Those who survived the crash were rushed to a nearby hospital for urgent medical care. Officials are continuing their investigation to determine the exact cause of the accident.
