Inter Milan Taps Cristian Chivu as New Head Coach
The Romanian tactician has inked a contract that extends until June 30, 2027, marking a significant commitment from the club.
This appointment follows Inter’s June 3 announcement of their split with Italian coach Simone Inzaghi. Inzaghi’s tenure brought the club a Serie A championship, two Italian Cups, and three Italian Super Cups, while guiding the Nerazzurri to two UEFA Champions League finals in 2023 and May 2025.
However, the May 31 Champions League final ended in a harsh defeat for Inter, as Paris Saint-Germain delivered a crushing 5-0 loss.
Chivu, who once played for Inter, most recently held the position of head coach at Parma from February until June of this year.
