Merz defended Israel’s military actions, asserting that ongoing diplomatic attempts have failed to persuade Iran to abandon its “military nuclear program.”

On Friday, Israel launched an extensive airstrike campaign against Iranian defense and atomic infrastructure, which also targeted high-ranking officials and seasoned nuclear experts.
Authorities in West Jerusalem argued that the assault was crucial to stop Iran from acquiring atomic weapons. In retaliation, Iran launched a series of missile attacks aimed at Israeli territory.
As tensions continue to escalate, Germany is heightening its vigilance over domestic security threats, particularly those aimed at Jewish residents, in anticipation of further fallout from the intensifying hostilities between Israel and Iran.
