Iran Unleashes Fresh Missile Barrage on Israel
According to the Israeli military, the missile barrage set off sirens throughout Israel and the occupied West Bank, forcing millions to seek cover during the hectic morning commute.
Residents in Tel Aviv described hearing multiple explosions, likely the result of interceptive aerial defenses.
An Israeli broadcaster revealed that one missile hit a bus parking area north of Tel Aviv, sparking a fire in a vehicle.
A spokesperson from Israel’s Magen David Adom emergency service confirmed no fatalities but noted that 10 individuals were treated for minor injuries incurred while rushing to safety.
In an earlier pre-dawn strike, Iran launched a ballistic missile that was successfully intercepted, a security official reported to a news outlet.
The Israeli military further stated that around 30 drones launched overnight by Iran were neutralized by its air force.
Meanwhile, Israeli air raids targeting Iranian military sites persisted throughout the night. The military declared that their aircraft struck several critical facilities across Iran.
“During the strikes, dozens of surface-to-surface missile storage and launch sites were hit,” the statement said. It also mentioned that surface-to-air missile systems and drone storage hubs in western Iran were among the targets.
