Russia air defenses destroy incoming Ukrainian drones
Moscow Mayor Sergey Sobyanin confirmed that two drones aimed at the capital were successfully shot down before reaching their targets. Emergency teams are managing the debris at the impact sites.
The drone attacks caused temporary closures of major airports in Moscow and other regions. The Federal Air Transport Agency suspended flights at Vnukovo, Domodedovo, Zhukovsky, Sheremetyevo, Kaluga, Nizhny Novgorod, and Tambov airports as a safety precaution.
Officials in Kursk Region, bordering Ukraine, reported shooting down 21 drones amid the overnight raids. No information has been released about damage or casualties resulting from the attacks.
