Gaza Bleeds: 28 Children Die Daily Amid Israel's Aid Blockade
“Death by bombardments. Death by malnutrition and starvation. Death by lack of aid and vital services,” the agency posted on X. “In Gaza, an average of 28 children a day — the size of a classroom — have been killed.”
UNICEF emphasized the desperate conditions faced by Gaza’s children, urgently calling for immediate access to food, clean water, medical supplies, and safety. The agency added: “More than anything, they need a ceasefire, NOW.”
Despite mounting global pressure for a ceasefire, Israel has continued its aggressive military operation in Gaza, launched on October 7, 2023. Nearly 61,000 Palestinians have been killed, nearly half of them women and children, as a result of the campaign. The prolonged assault has decimated infrastructure, crippled basic services, and pushed the enclave to the brink of famine.
