Gaza Bleeds: Israeli Drone Strike Kills Palestinian Near Jabalia Camp

(MENAFN) A Palestinian man was killed and several others wounded Saturday after an Israeli drone struck a motorcycle west of the Jabalia refugee camp in northern Gaza, according to medical and witness accounts.

A medical source told media that Eyad al-Motawwaq was killed in the strike, with multiple others reported injured. The precise number of wounded was not immediately disclosed.

Witnesses who spoke to media said the drone targeted the motorcycle in a zone west of the camp that falls outside the designated areas of Israeli military deployment under the existing ceasefire agreement — raising fresh questions over compliance with the truce.

In a separate incident, witnesses reported that Israeli artillery intermittently struck eastern sections of Al-Tuffah, a neighborhood on the eastern edge of Gaza City. No casualties were immediately reported from that bombardment.

Mounting Casualties Since Ceasefire
According to Gaza's Health Ministry, approximately 850 Palestinians have been killed and a further 2,433 injured by Israeli fire and bombardment since the ceasefire came into force, amid what the ministry described as repeated violations by the Israeli army.

The truce followed more than two years of war in Gaza beginning in October 2023, a conflict that has left more than 72,000 people dead and over 172,000 injured, while devastating an estimated 90% of the territory's civilian infrastructure.
